Kevin Chopson
I consider all of my work to be poetry, even though it may take different forms. My art addresses masking, otherness, transcendence, and the power of nature. It is an attempt to translate the seen and expose the unseen. I like to evoke. I like to provoke. I like to slow things down. I like to heighten senses. My art is also informed by my academic interest in philosophy, psychology, and language theory.
Kevin will be featuring in art-house-life’s Event: Dada Joy 6.30-8.30pm Friday 26th July. “Chopson’s DADA captures the anarchy and energy of DADA in a bravura performance finding unexpected bedfellows in a bricolage of art, poetry, music, and improvisation.”
